SEARCHING FOR A TOOL
Let’s say you’re an employee at a job site and you need an extension ladder to access the roof. Where is the ladder you need? Pull up the inventory in the WiiN app and search for “extension ladder.”
REQUESTING A TOOL
Your search results bring up two different extension ladders. You see that the 22-foot ladder is available right now at the warehouse, so you want to go ahead and request that one. View details or hit request and select the job site where you need the tool.
The warehouse manager or other administrator receives your request for the 22-foot extension ladder. Since it’s ready to be sent to your job site, they might send you a direct message through the app to let you know that the tool is on its way.
CHECKING OUT A TOOL
The ladder arrives at your location and you need to complete the checkout. Scan the QR code on the tool and then it will appear in your toolbox in the app. If another team member goes in the inventory to search for the 22-foot extension ladder, it will now show the tool as unavailable.
RETURNING A TOOL
Once you’re finished with the project and no longer need the ladder, go to your toolbox and select the tool to return it. Once you hit return, you will be asked to check in the 22-foot extension ladder. The warehouse manager will arrange to pick it up and complete the check-in by scanning the QR code at the warehouse or its next destination.
